If getting cool clothes for a better price through the YZY X GAP collaboration was a hit. Well Ye has already one upped his GAP collab. He is now joining with Demna for a project at GAP.

In an interview with VOUGE Ye said “ It’s a vision come true to work with Gap and Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, to make incredible product available to everyone at all times.” As we have all seen lately with Ye always wearing Balenciaga as of late and he has always talked highly of Demna. One thing is for sure no one expected this. As Gap and Balenciaga prices don’t exactly line up.

Officially the collab will be called YZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA. Demna told VOUGE “This is a very different challenge. I’ve always appreciated the utilitarianism and the accessibility of GAP. I share some of the same sensibilities in my creative language. This project allowed me to join forces to create utilitarian fashion for all.”

After working together on different projects this past year like the DONDA listening events, and merch, it was a matter of time that they did something else together. I don’t think anyone expected it would line up with GAP though. In a brief statement, Yeezy Gap said “This first of its kind launch sees Ye’s peerless vision bring together the most influential designer of his generation, Demna, with iconic American brand, GAP.”
